Privacy Policy for TabSwitch

Last Updated: March 15, 2026

1. Data Collection and Usage

TabSwitch is a visual tab manager designed to operate entirely locally on your device. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, user accounts, browsing history, or analytics with any external servers.

2. Permissions Justification

To function correctly, TabSwitch requires the following permissions:

Tabs
Required to query your currently open browser tabs to build the search index and navigation grid.
Host Permissions (<all_urls>)
Required to use the chrome.tabs.captureVisibleTab API. This temporarily generates a downscaled, local screenshot of your active tab to display in the visual grid interface.

All image data and tab information are stored strictly in your browser's local memory and are immediately discarded when the visual grid is closed or a tab is removed. No screenshot data ever leaves your device.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any user data to outside parties. Your browsing activity remains completely private and confined to your local machine.

4. Contact
